English Lab – Terms & Conditions of Enrolment

Welcome to English Lab UK. By creating an account on our Moodle platform and purchasing a course, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. English Lab UK Account Registration

  • Age Requirement: You must be 18 years or older to register an account independently.

  • Minor Enrolment: Students under 18 require explicit consent from a parent or legal guardian.

  • Account Details: You must provide your legal name and a valid, active email address.

  • Credential Security: Sharing your English Lab username and password with third parties is strictly prohibited.

  • Access Monitoring: System logs are monitored; simultaneous logins from different locations may trigger account suspension.

2. Fees, Payments & Subscriptions

  • Enrolment Access: Full payment is required before English Lab course access or enrolment keys are granted.

  • Currency: All transactions on English Lab are processed and billed in British Pounds (GBP).

  • Subscription Model: If you have a subscription future recurring subscriptions will charge automatically on your billing date.

  • No Free Trials: Subscription plans do not include a free trial period; billing begins immediately upon sign-up.

  • Non-Payment: Access to English Lab course areas is automatically revoked if a subscription renewal payment fails.



3. Refund Policy

  • Refund: You will have no refund options from the date of purchase.

  • Technical issues: on the teacher’s end/Teacher not available:

      • Solution 1: 30’ recorded lesson + Q&A (before the next lesson) If not recorded - no payment

      • Solution 2: forum cover teacher (ideally)

      • Solution 3: extend another week

  • Issues out of our control/national emergencies:

      • No-refund / no extension

      • Recorded lessons

      • Make up/condense missed content in the other lessons

4. Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use

      • Limited License: Your purchase grants you a single, non-transferable license to view the materials.

      • Prohibited Actions: You may not copy, record, screen-share, download, or redistribute English Lab materials.

      • Penalties: Copyright infringement results in immediate, permanent account termination without a refund.



Subscription Billing & Cancellation Terms

Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed automatically on a recurring monthly basis starting from your exact date of sign up.

No Trials or Partial Refunds: There is no free trial period. We do not provide pro-rata or partial refunds for unused days in a billing cycle if you cancel halfway through a month.

How to Cancel: You can cancel your subscription at any time directly through your Moodle Account Profile > Billing settings, or by emailing a cancellation request to admin@english-lab.uk.

Cancellation Notice: Email cancellation requests must be submitted at least 3 business days before your next scheduled billing date to ensure processing before the charge occurs.

Access After Cancellation: Upon successful cancellation, your automatic billing will stop. You will retain full access to your Moodle course materials until the final day of your current paid billing period, after which access will be automatically revoked.
